Mellowing In The Moment Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Mellowing In The Moment

Youth and vigor hurried to find a treasure
Imminent aging is slowing the rapid pace
Lessening the desire to compare and measure
My tranquil heart takes the time to embrace

Continuing to savor each radiant hour
Calmed by the cooling nights of autumn
While the lovely scent of fragrant flowers
Defies the drought of dwindling sun

A smile greets the waking morning rays…
Restored and plumped with a blush
Able to enjoy the miracle of another day
Mellowing in the moment…avoiding the rush

Lovely cadence, btw I'm at the next window, and the morning light renews hope!
