Meetings Poem by Kevin Seales

Meetings

Meetings meetings always meetings
Why can't they leave us alone
They talk about math, writing and reading
Why don't they let us go home

We sit in a chair picking our nose
Wondering why we are here
Learning the things, everyone knows
Who's blowing smoke up our rear

It's time for us to stop this madness
We know just who to blame
The guy who cleans our floor with sadness
The one who always complains

Well you just wait, tomorrow will come
We'll give him a piece of our mind
On our floor is a note written with gum
You go to the meeting next time
