Meenaj- An inspiration

I beg you sir;
I beg you mom
So fervent was the plea of her
To learn further
To cruise along
The sea of knowledge afar
The poor little flower
Placed in an orphanage
Since childhood days
Wished to see more light
Than darkness with knowledge
Wished to feel more rapture
Than despair by being aware fairly
Of fragrance and beauty
Of the world so lovely
With knowledge and knowledge only
The poor soul blessed with money little
Wished to be richer with knowledge full
When she was doled out a proposal
To marry a rich man of Arab national
Happy, mom said,
That’s a nice proposal indeed
Meenaj, to this you need to accede
But mom I am only seventeen
So what, rare thing comes
Not often from heaven
Against all odds
And against her wishes
The marriage was solemnized
Only to be seen shattered
After a month of sustenance
Only because of his wickedness
By merely uttering
Words of divorce by lip services
And it was a plot against innocence
Had been in practice
Since long in a literate state of prominence
And she was a prey
To such animalistic practices
Plotted, trapped and savoured
And then disposed of like trashes
But for her firmness
As she is ambitious and industrious
And serious in intention
To pursue studies despite nuisance
The whole rotten things cracked open
Bringing the culprits to book
And to all, Meenaj became an inspiration
To kindle passion for education.............
