Meditations In Blue Poem by Anthony Burge

Meditations In Blue

A kaleidoscope of shell grit coral sands

Grinds through my grasp as it leaks through my hands

Falls in an arc swerves on wintery breeze

From my grasp as I clutch spills from hand twixt my knees

Each crystal grain golden twinkles in flight

Reflects moonlit sea on this crystal clear night

As it falls onto beach forms a neat little mound

Forever temporary as the sea sings her sound

Inhale crisp black air as I look out to sea

Breathe in synch with her flow as she exhales with me

I lay back look up at black star punctured sky

We’re as one breathing in I surrender she sighs

Meditate on the pulse of her slow ebb and flow

Wire brush against snare gentle wash too and fro

Soon I melt between grains of coral washed sands

No longer I weigh as a creature of lands

Leak toward sea earthly bindings unravel

At tides mercy on will of current I travel

Beneath the satin moonlit surface

We are as one with one sole purpose
