Meaningless Poem by Binoy Barman

Meaningless

It is all meaningless for a tree
To know that one day it will fall
Why does a tree spring from seed
From a little sapling grow so tall?

Flower bloom and spread aroma
Swings merrily in twigs day long
Knowing they would dry one day
At the end of all dance and song.

The day starts to end in gloom
Clouds form only to pour down as rain
Dream twinkles in the starry eyes
Human birth is a great farce of pain.

Algae do not know where to swim
The sky loves momentary smile of lark
Summer embraces the madness of cyclone
You and me detained in the jaws of shark.

We finished our love episode in one spring
Bathing in the river of eternal absurdity
Owl sheds the smell of gloom off its feather
Before the breath of dew reaches home city.

The moon says good bye to the night
All quite, all shadow, all wrong is right.
