Me, Myself And I Poem by Mussia M Bronstein

Me, Myself And I

Rating: 5.0

My first breath in earth,
Was hard, trying to exhale the unknown air,
And trying to scream, to warn the nurses that I'm alive,
And from being cold, away from my warm,
Watery, cozy room, inside my mother's womb.
But it hurt, to scream and,
Trying to open my little brown, tired eyes,
And see my new parents,
And before being in my mothers arms,
The doctors and nurses took me away,
Before I can feel my parents touch,
Without me knowing my parents.

Few minutes past, felt like it was a couple years......

I lay in this dark, no light box,
Only two big lights beamed
Down on me, tried to block the burning light,
But couldn't, arms were weak to move,
Hands in fists, as if I'm going to fight the world.
Tried to kick, no use, feet was crossed tightly,
And no movement.

Suddenly a few words came in, after doctors examined me,
Like in a panic, they diagnosed me,
With Cerebral Palsy.
I lay there motionless, couldn't understand,
What that meant or how to face it, I
Couldn't make any sound to ask.
The room went into awe and mood swings,
From scared people with pumping heart
Against their chests, but they knew,
To become strong and caring, to this unhappy baby,
That is going from this terrible dream,
Into the cheerful, happy, laughable family.

years past, but minutes seemed to run.

With my mother and father's personality,
And thoughts against doctor's, commends and wishes.
I became strong.
happy.
confidant, in what I want in life.
Independent and cheerful, blocking my illness.
Well spoken and well minded, but,
With my painful surgeries and,
Therapies that i get,
I can walk, with assistant.
Talk, by mouth but words seem to crack.
Eat like every else can,
And do stuff like no other in this world.

I am a normal girl whom was put in this sick and unhealthy body, to teach people, who they really are.
