Me and poetry

To read to ponder over I write
Applaud or abhor in your hands
Popular or perennial time only decides
Encouraging words if any enthuse my moods

Amazing are the talents adoring here
Awestruck I am at the flow of their excellence
Pursuit of knowledge propelled from here
Generations to come shall cherish these writings

A name among the famed
A desire to be among exalted
A pride derived from fearless writes
Nothing unusual but natural for any poet

    Yes, This is a great forum where people immensely talented pour forth their thoughts in wonderful musings! How each one sees the same thing from different angles! By invading this plethora of wealth, we can continue to whet our little talents! Each poet wants to be read and appreciated by others which is quite natural! So an encouraging word goes a long way in boosting one's confidence! A great write which has come from the heart! ! (Report) Reply

    Nice poem. It is nice to be part of all the poets here. A short note from a fellow poet is always a source of encouragement and inspiration. Thank you. (Report) Reply

They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
