Today I'm going to take back all those words I heard you say,
Today when I lift my head I'm going to look myself in the eyes,
Today when I start to feel bad about myself I'm going to know that things do get better without you here,
Today when I want to bleed I'm going to see the beginning and not the ending of me,
Today when I look in the mirror I'm going to see something you couldn't see,
Today I'm going to take a much needed look inside,
Today I'm going to start thinking about me,
Today I'm going to hold my head up high,
Today I will not shed one single tear just because you’re not here,
Today when I think about what I've been through I'm going to look to the man upstairs,
Today when I realize how I got here I'm going to thank the people who made me strong and ignore those who tried to make me weak,
Today when I open my eyes my beauty's going to shine through,
Today when I don't want to try I'm going to make it through because I know I have what it takes,
Today when I think about all the lies you said I'm going to thank god that I'm better off without you,
Today I'm going to realize the things I neglected for so long,
Today I'm going to know that those who tried to bring me down only made me that much stronger,
Today I’m going to know that I don't need anyone to hold my hand,
Today I'm going to realize that I'm fine the way I am,
Today I'm going to realize that beauty's only skin deep,
Today I'll do some soul searching,
Today I'll find the me that was lost for so many years,
Today when I wake I won't care what anyone thinks,
Today I'll know that I'm beautiful inside and out,
Today you'll try to bring me down but this time I will not fall,
Today I will not fail myself in knowing that I am everything I should be and more,
This is the day I open my eyes and hold my head up higher than ever before,
Today is the day I realize this is the best moment in my life,
Today is the day I will shine,
Today is the day I stop trying to hide,
Today is the day my personality shines through,
Today is the day I stop hating and start showing much needed love,
Today is the day I forget and forgive our mistakes,
Today is the day I'll show you I know what it takes,
Today is the day that I start loving myself for me and nothing can bring me down.
