Me Poem by Brenda Harper

Me

Rating: 4.8

My mind fills with fear,
No trust standing near.
Painful memories true,
They haunt and shatter through.
Wish they could see,
But only crying silently.
No, No-one will ever know,
the pain in me that haunts me so.
For evil stands so near,
laughing at my tears.
He knows why i run from thee,
and laughs his emptiness at me.
He says to me,
Darling don't be a fool,
you will never rid yourself of you.
You were the one who closed the door,
and now that is, forever more.

I was moved by the poignant picture of yourself you've painted in this poem. It touched me deeply. Thanks for sharing your thoughts of a particular moment so poetically. 'No, No-one will ever know, the pain in me that haunts me so. For evil stands so near, laughing at my tears.' - Eloquent reflection of miseries. 'You were the one who closed the door, and now that is, forever more' - Sigh!
