On August 29,2008, John McCain announced that his choice for Vice-President was Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska and former Mayor of Wasilla. In her acceptance speech, Governor Palin has called out for support from former supporters of Hillary Clinton, who may feel aggrieved that Barack Obama selected Joe Biden rather than her as his Vice-Presidential candidate.
