The dark I see surrounds me
Your retreating steps frighten my very soul
Where have you gone?
I can't see.
I try to follow through life's push and pull
But I've been fighting this so long...
I'm trying so hard to stand up for you
To carry you through the storm brewing here
But you end up pulling ME through
To little I give you is what I fear.
It take so little for you to let go
A slip of the hand in the freezing snow
