May Your Hands Bless Their Land Of Shadow Poem by Don Nguyen

May Your Hands Bless Their Land Of Shadow

Lord, you have placed me in this land of shadow,
Engulfed in passions, emotions, sorrows, and romantic love;
Descending, enslaved, and propagated in human weakness;
Not accented to nobility or acquiescent to grace.
My child-like trust had been marred; my confidence once shaken.
And not by chance, nor by human assistance,
But by your mercy, my faith I now regain.
I now hope love can conquer their present errors
I am concerned but I can no longer personally worry
Because I believe all matters will be cared for
By your sacred Hands according to your Divine Plan.
I abandon myself into your loving arms;
Please assist my friends in dissipating their passions;
Replacing it with faith, hope, and true noble love in you.
Make their weak spirits become strong bonds,
Which will be made perpetual and burning with your love and affection.
