Maxim Poem by Crystal Rosser

Maxim

I create Heaven and Hell-
The otherworldly light streaming into oblong shapes-

Alongside towering shadows-
I am the mind between birth and death-

From first to last breath, I gasp in between-
I exist between dust and sky-

Like the four winds trapped within a tunnel-
I am truth and lies-

Veiled in Argentella lace and abandoned upon the shelf-

I am a proverbial music box-
A sound, never too near nor too far-
Annihilating imposturous echoes-

To all who know me-
As infinite seeker-
I am maxim.
