Maternal Me, Maternal I Poem by Sara Hol

Maternal Me, Maternal I

The instinct when a child cries
oh how the laughter and smiles
fill my heart,
knowing that I had played a part.

Maternal me, maternal I,
cradling and singing lullaby's
oh how giving comfort can heal,
even broken hearts can love to.

Maternal me, maternal I,
holding little hands as time passes by
oh how a women's instinct can come so natural,
when the bond between a mother and child grows.

Maternal me, maternal I
my passion in life is raising a child right
oh how I can change the harm done upon me,
giving a child a happy life
giving them the love they need.

I was born to be a mother,
nurturing and loving others.
