Master Of My Fate Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Master Of My Fate

Rating: 4.5

I am the master of my fate;
the captain of my soul,
and it is an awesome thing
that I have at my control.

Whether I sail the highest seas, or
dropp anchor in some foreign port
either way I man the wheel
and determine my own course.

So, I never sail my ship alone
for I’ve learned why sailors say,
that “Ships are meant for sailing,
and “Good Captains always pray.”

Never heard those expressions, Carolyn, although I've sailed many a league! Otherwise, you've got the patois down pretty good, from master to dropping anchor in some exotic port!
