Mask Poem by Fredrik Hole Halvorsen

Mask

The one who hides his face in the dark
He who always where´s his mask
Hiding away
From the light of day

What is he hiding
A secret so dark
Buried away
In his lonely heart

Watch him fall
Shatter to the ground
As we all see
That he don´t want to be

His mask is stained
Red with blood
Tears slowly
Falling away

He musters
One last scream
Into the lonely dark
Then nothing

Only silence
