Marley Burger is a special man
Who planned to be a civil engineer
But in ’41 his life made a change
With a different kind of career

When he was sent to Casablanca
The vehicle he was driving in
Hit a land mine and his life
Was never the same again

Marley is a one of our heroes
We thank him for all he’s done
This special day that’s been chosen
For so many fallen ones

They put aside the lives they had
To fight for peace and freedom
Men and woman past and present
Heroes they have all become

Let’s take the time to honor them
This cherished Memorial Day
And maybe take to moment too
To bow our heads and pray!
