Margarita Ferriday (Caco3) Poem by Marcus McKinley

Margarita Ferriday (Caco3)

Thy beauty is not modest
Not to gape or stare in awe
And, indeed I try my hardest
I have yet to find a flaw
I sigh, revealed with slack in jaw
As soft winds sigh through flowing bodice
Upon approach one must take notice

I am now held within thy hand
Lustrous spheres, upon thy neck conjoin
My heart a grain of purest sand
Yearning not, to intern or purloin
But, to swathe thy hearts sainfoin
Ogled in consequence, per chance
Within thy stolen glance

Sparking dreams, yet to experience
Affecting my nacres structure
changing my hearts iridescence
amid the smoothness of its texture
enveloped in conjecture
an unwillingness for reticence
is the beauty of your presence
