March Poem by G. Hollis Humberson

March

Gazing into the robin egg blue sky
I think of you and begin to sigh
A beautiful day and even lovelier lady
I lay you down in the cool and shady
Grass so green and breeze so crisp
It blows your hair with hardly a wisp
Soft in texture and gentle to my touch
I think of childhood memories and such
Aspirations abounded with dreams to fulfill
Gazing into my past they remain there still
No longer can I grasp and pull them to me
For it is only the beauty in your eyes I see
Enthralled and bewildered I dropp to your side
Entranced and enamored I begin to glide
Down your body and into your soul
Your undying love has made me whole
I shift my gaze from the robin egg blue sky
Looking into your eyes I begin to sigh
