Marble Slab Visit Poem by Bill Grace

Marble Slab Visit

I did not realize
It was $4.99 for a small ice cream
At 96* I did not care,
my goal was to escape the heat.

Even more than cool
the place had that peculiar odor -
pleasant for sure -
of all ice cream shops.
In all of my travels
I have never found a bad one.

Cinammon and cheesecake and chocolate
What combination to effect?
Choices are always difficult
even in an ice cream shop.
