Marathon: Will I Make It To The End Poem by David Bussiere

As the Marathon begins your thoughts flood your mind
will I finish and make it to the end
will my legs be strong enough to carry me through to the end
will my mind defeat me and stop me before the end
all the months of preparation and struggles I have endured
and it all comes down to this
will I make it until the end
this has been my dream and goal to make it to the end
with the sound of victory and not defeat
it doesn't matter how fast or slow you run
But it's all about the finish line, nearing the end
and crossing the line and proclaiming victory at the End
