Manmohan, The Lucky Wingless Duck
Manmohan says he is Minister Prime and not a lame duck:
Would I have survived if so much blame I couldn't well duck?
Reddy, media or Kalmadi,
They are all in Sonia's rave party;
With BJP numb and Rahul dumb, wingless I am flying on luck!
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Dr Manmohan Singh is India's Prime Minister, but the real power is with Italian born Sonia Gandhi. Despite numerous mega scams running into billions of dollars, Manmohan, who carries a clean personal image, continues to occupy his chair, primarily because the main opposition party BJP is in a disarray and Rahul, Sonia's son and anointed heir, has so far been been seen to be unfit for the job that is his for the taking in India's dynastic democracy.
