Manhattan Skyline Poem by Joan Al-Salihi

Manhattan Skyline

Rating: 5.0

As I look from my window,
I wait for the magical moment
when the lights begin to light
across the bridge showing
their chain of emeralds:
when the deep blue night sky
becomes a velvet blanket
covering the deep purple waters:
when the dotted lights display
a glow of diamonds everywhere...;
when this Manhattan skyline
appears to be an array of Jewels
before the eyes of one looking
at the majestic of the Manhattan Night Skyline.
Oh, as I look from my window,
I wait for the magical moment.
