Mandela Poem by Edwina Reizer

Mandela

Rating: 4.0

MANDELA

The world has lost another one
That came to bring his vision
Of how people should come together
And make an unselfish decision.
To coexist, regardless of race
And open their hearts to all.
Mandela was a peacemaker
That was jailed inside a wall.
But walls crumble as we saw in Berlin
And peacemakers become strong.
They speak softly with words of wisdom
That change things that are wrong.
Though he is gone his vision is alive.
And because it hasn't died,
South Africa should be the example
To never practice apartheid.

Alas, it appears you, Edwina, are now absent from PH. I wish you well. And I recommend to readers your 'Twas The Night Before Christmas poem, Grandma. : ) bri
