Man's Rights Poem by Kevin Maroney

Man's Rights

However do they live with themselves
Shut within their own minds?

Woman's Rights
Does a man have rights?
Does a woman deal with the same
defacing honesty which their
male counterpart must
Face each day with perfect frankness and regularity?

No, all for none
The honey without the bees,
The Cotton without the thorns.

Not a persecution of the fairer sex
But an observation of the
Fairest becoming
An invincible man,
Untouched by
Criticism,
Capable of anything,
Justified in their own minds.

Women's rights are all well and good,
But where are a man's rights?
