Man From Afghanistan Poem by Donna McCord

Man From Afghanistan

There once was a man
From Afghanistan
Who ruled the al-Quaeda kigdom
Now it has been said
That his head was dead
And those fools looked to him for wisdom.

He commanded a clan
They called Taliban
And this group commandeered our planes
They never expected
They would be detected
Because they too lacked a brain

Now the Eagle is loose
And we’ll cook their goose
Because our land will not be forsaken
God granted us wisdom
To blow up their kindom
Their very foundation is shaken.

His match he has met
And we’ll get him yet
His kingdom has crumbled and fallen
He hides like a snake
But this Giant’s awake
And the Eagle has sharpened his talons.

And as you know
As birds of prey go
All Eagles eat snakes for dinner
Don’t think we wont find him
And then we’ll remind him
How justice always comes out a winner.
