Man And Woman Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Man And Woman

There are fireflies in the sky tonight
obscuring the stars
and they all reside in your eyes;
you not seeing them
because they come alive
only
when shining for me
gleaming inside my kisses.

You don't know of them
they're secret
because I light them
with touch torches
seething
suckings
velvet
lips
mine.

You receive
absorb
that which is my
Heart's Redemption
and I give
back;
I give back
because
your pleasure
is my
secret salvation

but you
don't seem to know;
your claim
is only upon
the vessel
which
receives
and gives back
which
thrills
at my thrill

that which is our secret being

in relationship
in that stultifying lightening
which sates
which satisfies
which
ignites
strong
knitted
by loves bonds.

You are ecstatic;
happy with being needed
and I too
fit into your seams
catapulting our secret needs
beyond needs
and consummations
blending
Seed and Need
Pressings and Clingings
Understandings
beyond kilt and kin
species melding
man and woman.
