Mama Adore Beau-Valon (Memory Of My Mother) Poem by .... Chetty

Mama Adore Beau-Valon (Memory Of My Mother)

Africa, Seychelles, Beau vallon
It was a single house standing on the sand of Beau vallon
The ghost still lingers in the past of her lost childhood
All my life I wanted just to see her beautiful face again

I was the mermaid of the Indian Ocean
It was my little paradise
I knew no tomorrow, I lived only for the moment
I dived in the deepest of the heavens blue
The wild wind blew kisses upon my cheeks
Oh my heart adore Beau vallon

I would wait for the morning sun just to dive in the waves again
The heaven blue of Beau vallon was my play ground

I watched her beautiful face from the window as she glare my way
Her skin color of honey
Her sad hazel eyes, the reflection of a prison soul
I wonder if she ever smiled

Her face was so beautiful that the sun envy and refuse to shine
Her dark wavy hair blows softly in the wind
I watched her red lips as it parted
Waiting for her to scream
But only silence surrounded her

Oh mama she adored Beau vallon
She was so young, her skin so fresh and the color of honey
Every shape of my face was a reflection of her
I resemble her stolen childhood
Mama's eyes showed a lost little girl who's never felt loved

I remember the sun envy her beauty everywhere she went
I would watch her pretty eyes glitter in the sun

I wanted to caress her
I wanted to steal her face and place it upon my heart as my souvenir
Mama's eyes cries, mama‘s eyes dropped a thousand tears

Oh mama she adored Beau vallon
Her cries screamed through the trees of Beau vallon
Her cries shivered me in the nights

I did not know how to take away her pain
I did not know how to make her smile
Mama was sadden for too long

I saw mama walking away
I knew she was saying goodbye
I felt her heart aching through her eyes
I screamed, but my echoes didn't reach her for mama never turned back
I watched her beautiful face fading away from a distance

Mama adored Beau vallon
Mama left me with no one to hold me
Mama left me with no one to wipe my tears
Mama left me with no one to say I love you

Oh mama all my life I waited for you on the sand of Beau vallon
I looked from every corner of my eyes to see the most beautiful lady of Beau vallon again, to watch and see if she would smile my way
