Malnutrition Poem by Fleurette Elaine Harris

Malnutrition

What happens to a soul unnourished?
Does it quail
Like a snail
Or does it fail to flourish
Like a butterfly
Flying about so high in the sky
Or
Does it flutter and melt
Like butter in the heat of the hell of the night
For
Must not the being that bears no nourishment
Surely suffer
And
Sorely die
