Malala Poem by mazHur Butt

Malala

Sanity commands that
while living in a river
one must not make enemy
with the crocodiles
someone forgot to teach her that
or was it self- delusion or
over ambition or induced zealousness for Heroism?
Whatever, but the fact is
'when in Rome do as the Romans do'
Try not to change the world
for that's the job of saints and prophets
or the incessant whim of the strong and arrogant
Oh, Malala! You must have made
Anna Frank turn in her grave
for what you were doing
and why?
And you suffered at the hands of
your own kinsmen.
