Making My Amends Poem by cassie slaughter

Making My Amends

Sometimes I cry
Because I miss you so much
I just wish you were here
So I could say one last good bye
But that will never happen
Not in this life time
But I can't help to wonder
Where you could be
Are you in heaven watching over me?
Or are you standing right next to me?
I know you're in my heart
And you'll always be in my memories
But I just have to wonder
Can you even hear me?
Because I'm just not sure
How to forgive myself
For what was done
People can say it was not my fault
But it's just not the same
Because they were not there
And they don't know what was done that day
So here I am
Wondering why
How could you do such a thing?
But then I realize
You just weren't that strong
So now is the time
To make my amends
So here it goes
I love ya boy
I'll see ya at the end
