Make No Difference In My Pain... Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Make No Difference In My Pain...

I was a child helpless and alone...
Where are the ones who'd shield me from wrong?
Gone are the days of innocence, I'm turned inside out...
My life is Hell plainly and without a doubt.

Chasing a dream of forever in peace...
Love was just spoiling my soul without any release
Gone are my thoughts of perfection in this world...
What an existence of nothingness for this girl.

Ravished beyond measure, I wander around...
Devastation my best friend, happiness is not found
I wasn't tied up, drugged or ran over and left for dead
Yet all see the travesty of life that I've led...
The son of a preacher who's blood was just shed.

Make no difference in my pain...
In Africa and all around this cruel world it's the same
Millions are dying from humanity's wickedness...
Will you rise to the occasion and do something about this?
