Magnificent Distraction



What magnificent distraction this!
Ebbs and flows and throbs and throes
Disconcerting to degree
Away and beyond!

The Kite flies away
The thread tags along
All the way all along
Up and up and beyond
To the yonder till it falls

Catches a tree a shrub a hedge a storm.

What magnificent distraction this!
Ebbs and flows and throbs and throes.
