Madness Drips Poem by Jennifer Colyne Hall

Madness Drips

She pushes me back

She takes control

I'm trapped in my body like a stranger

High pitched noise coming from within

Strenuous efforts to gain control

Don't take my family

It began with a kiss

The evil within

I'm hunkered down

In this shell

She's a bad penny

Unwanted Aurora

Looming darkness in the brightest light

My love, he wants to help me back to this world

She spits lies of hatred

Like daggers flying

Spinning, whirling

As the blade catches the light

Years of madness

Drip from an innocent soul

Not even knowing

Your crimson pours out, colors the floor

From your heart to mine

Forever
