Madman Poem by Justin Reamer

Madman

Reality is a lost illusion.
Stuck in a white room,
Tied up and constrained,
I see things inexplicable;
Voices from far away
Shout in my ear like
The shriek of a banshee
Announcing imminent death.

Men come into the room to
Provide me with medication,
A pill that sedates me into a coma,
Ending life as I know it to be.

But my friends are still
In the room with me,
Whispering in my ears,
Showing me the creatures that
Reside within the white walls,
Watching me with my every move,
Impossible to avoid as
Order in chaos does not exist.
