Made Up Mask Poem by Clara Diskley

Made Up Mask

Feeling pretty lousy when I see your face
I am sorry I cannot be happy for you
I'm acting like I don't care, but trust me
I do
Wearing a mask and my emotions won't
be seen
Without the mask my feelings would be revealed
With the mask it is a mystery never seen
Getting deeper into the fake mask I made
When asked how my day went I always have to lie
Good is all that is answered, really it is anything but
good
My day is miserable each day and I'm forced to lie
Driving me insane and I'm getting annoyed
Before this happened, I used to be fine
There wasn't any made up mask and I didn't have
to lie
