Mad Mirrors - Part C (58) Poem by Raquel Angel Nagler

Mad Mirrors - Part C (58)

QUOTE: 'The sparrow: a bird never intended to the scale of great heights' - J. Saramango

My poems: tiny sparrows
Never intended for great heights.
Their wings: too minute, too fragile.
In their body: too much earth.

QUOTE: 'Nothing merges more readily with its shadows than the human body' - J. Saramango

All I know is
That nothing rebels more
Against its shadows
Than the human soul.

QUOTE: 'The hands that make and weave, are the same hands that dismantle and undo. There is no consolation' -J. Saramango

The hands that undo and hurt
Are the same ones that weave and heal.
A quiet consolation.
