Mad Mirrors - Part C (55) Poem by Raquel Angel Nagler

Mad Mirrors - Part C (55)

QUOTE: 'Our absurd thought that a table lost from view must remain a table' - W. Szymborska

Even when we look
A table is not only a table.
It is a forest, a tree,
A raft in the waters of reality.

QUOTE: 'We cast shadows based on the same law. What we don't know brings us closer' - W. Szymborska

The unknown
Brings us so close, so far,
Like the shadows of loneliness,
Like death.

QUOTE: 'Clouds, unburdened by memory of any kind' - W. Szymborska

We voyage.
Above us:
The centuries of clouds.
The memory of water.

A poem is a sequence of thoughts. One thought, though, is usually not a poem.
