Mad Man's Paradise Poem by Chibueze Oscar Osuji

Mad Man's Paradise

Walks through streets with nudity as fulcrum
Pleading the sun to scorch his bogey form
In the crowd's noise he'd found his peaceful place
Summons bulging eyes, though he seek solace

Laughing out loud for he had tricked the earth
Scavenge her food, she'll forgive and forget
Living a good life with so many wrongs
Longs to grow, he'll feed on manure from dungs

Needing no home when there's earth to lie on
Needs no love, when he'll be lov'd by the sun
Some do pity him, others may disgust
Why hide the body when we are all dust

Greets the flies as they surround his dreadlocks
Laughing, for their voices brings him more lucks
He'll love to sleep while watching the sun beam
Wake, to find everyone as sane as him.
