Macbeth Poem Poem by Reddly Raven

Macbeth Poem

Macdonwald sleeps soundly now,
in his bloody grave.
The traitor has been vanquished,
by young Macbeth the brave.

The witches tell his future now,
of power, wealth, and fame.
And after their departure,
he's awarded title 'Thane'.

His wife is not quite satisfied,
by such a fickle thing.
She plots to kill King Duncan,
and steal the place of Scotland's King!

Macbeth could not refuse his wife,
His back bends to her will.
He sneaks in Duncan's chamber room,
And regretfully, he kills.

The crown is set upon his head.
A toast with sacred wine.
Enjoy it while you can my friend,
'Cause Banquo's next in line.

Three murderers find Banquo,
And bring him to his knees.
But as they soundly stab him,
His offspring Fleance flees.

Later at the banquet,
Sipping on a brew,
He sees Banquo's bloody ghost.
His paranoia grew.

Macbeth rode out that fateful night,
To the witches foul cave.
Seeking knowledge of his fate,
He's become his own fear's slave.

They tell him to beware Macduff,
But no man of woman born.
And when the trees reach Dunsinane,
Macbeth will be forlorn.

Poor Macbeth is scared,
And sends word to strike on Fife.
To give them zero mercy,
Kill peasants, son and wife.

Macduff receives the news from Ross,
Of his family death.
Him and Malcolm call to arms,
To find and kill Macbeth.

Macduff and Macbeth are facing off,
Their swords clash in the air.
Macduff doth strike the mortal blow,
His premature birth was rare...
