Maa - Mother Poem by Hardik Vaidya

Maa - Mother

Aaj kuch yoon hee dil ne chahaa,
Sadiyon kaa moun tod Doon.
Tumhaare jane par,
Aasmaan kuch is tarah phataa saa dikhegaa,
Khaalee, baadalon ke cheethadon se dhakaa,
Bebaak saa akelaa, dhoondataa us khoyee sabhyataa Ko,
Jo sehmee see os ban kar dharaa Ko bhigo dengee.
Apne hone kaa abhaas, sagaron me chipe seep se poochtaa,
Har lahar me tumhe dhoondtaa,
Dharaa ke Chor se, brahmaand ke ant tak,
Sirf tumhe dekhataa,
Tumhaara Safal honaa to Tay hai,
Kuch akelon ke Shahar main,
Tumhaare diyee huwee Bahaar, Amar hai.

My heart tweeted without reason,
Breaking the silence of centuries.
On your demise
The sky shall look torn asunder,
Desperately trying to hide its banal nudity
Under shreds of tattered clouds.
Shattered and alone, in mad search of a culture lost,
That culture which akin to dew drops,
Shall moisten the parched planet.
Confounded it shall seek the proof of its existence,
To pearls on the ocean bed,
Frantically seeking you, asking about you
To every single wave on all seas.
It shall roam relentless from the end of earth to the edge of this cosmos
Seeing you everywhere.
Your success is assured,
In the city of a few loners,
Forever shall live, your gift of spring.
