Though he wrote on the history
Of Indian English literature,
Naik sometimes tried to write down
The light verses
In the style of Ogden Nash and E.C.Bentley
And Edward Lear,
Limericks and clerihews.
Under the pen name of Emken
He used to write verses
To caricature and make a fun of
When laden with studies,
Writing the critical bits of paper.
