Lying To Your Best Choice? Poem by Delilah Miller

Lying To Your Best Choice?

Rating: 5.0

I know when you're lying.
Because blunt weight hits my chest,
I hate you, even if you hate to see me crying,
for throwing me another ball to juggle for you,
not hearing my voice, weary with unrest!

I always know when you're lying.
Because your eyes never linger east or west,
I hate you for your dissapointed sighing,
telling me denials I don't want to hear anymore,
promising this is the last test.

I know how you love lying.
Because you think you are protecting those wounds, still so fresh
I hate you letting me catch you trying,
refusing to be close to a flame that only warms you.
and the girl who understands you best.

'I know when you're lying because blunt weight hits my chest! ! ' Out of the mouth of the young, deep thought and expression in here...I love that line and the last line and the entire poem. You may still be young Colette, but you excel in expressing your feelings, emotions...Keep at it.I started young also twelve through teens and then just sort of stopped until February except for personal ones for birthdays and special occassions and stuff. Just don't stop as you're on the right course..~~~marci. :) ~~~
