Luminous Poem by Dwitun Basumatary

Luminous

Gazing the rain long one day
The rain gazed back at me.
And the droplets along the eaves
Winked me as they dripped.

Lingering in dream and magicK
Wandering in valleys green
What's your aim in life boy?
I wanna be a shooting star!

The sun runs through hedges and highways
To be home and rest; in the west.
A crescent above, a lantern in my hand
We wait all morrow, noon and eve.

And in the sandy morning beach
as the storks have their fill,
You're my dream of dawn
before I wake each daybreak.

Seedling of seaweeds of marine depths
aren't you a coral my dearie?
Once upon a night when we meet again
You have you and I have my direction

In night strolls I phantom you
dancing out of the december dusk.
Then the floation winds of my dreams
begins knocking softly at thy window.

In the luminus daerk with slow network
In broken audio and cheap i-pod
For you I can stand in the night
Where even the ice shivers in cold.

You charm my inbox, I hate to sign out.
I wish you'd enter my door for lifetime
As we drownn in assignments and exams
When'll I be free to admire the lightning?

You're the bugling twilight wind;
The midnight drizzle in streetlights,
You're the song which I heard
In the riverine valley of my dreams.

Hey you! with beautiful shadow..
With disarrayed eyelashes...
My heart took to wheels....
And ran away along yer breath.
