Lullaby For Dylan Poem by Lorraine Licona

Lullaby For Dylan

Rating: 5.0

Dream your dreams my little boy
dream them while you can
For all too soon my little boy
you will be a man
Unlike the stars up in the sky
you and I we cannot fly
Hold on to your dreams my little boy
don't let your childhood pass you by

Don't cry, don't cry my little boy
sleep softly now my dear
Rest your head in your mommy's arms
there is no need to fear
I'll see that no harm comes to you
I'll sit and watch 'till night is through
And when you wake my little boy
I will still be here

Beware the people in the world
they're not always as they seem
They'll try to hurt you my little boy
they'll try to take your dreams
Time will pass, you'll learn and grow
all your childish thoughts will go
But until then my little boy
sleep without a care
