Lower And Lower
To sink lower and lower,
It will be your purpose,
It will overtake you,
For a sign and for a wonder;
To venture,
To touch the dirt,
Begrudge!
Afraid of,
The fearful plagues! !
Severe and lingering,
Distress,
Harsh and prolonged,
Disaster! !
Illness,
But, few in number;
As seen from one end of the earth to the other.
