Keep it short
Keep it sweet
Honey dripping treat
From the baker's sheet
One layer on top of the other
Brushed with honey and butter
Crushed pistachios I spread
A secret recipe I read
The treasure of Ali Baba
For my favourite Baklava
Opens Sesame recipe
For a prized culinary
Brings sweet delight my way
Sweeps my tongues away
I sway to my taste buds
Garnished with rosebuds.
