Love - What It Be Poem by aditya gupta

Love - What It Be

Sometimes, it has to be so,
Love ain't all it takes to go on,
No sire/ma'am
An understanding - so deep - surpasses
That of oceans - is required,
For love slowly dies out,
That spark, that feeling of oneness,
Shall grow cold and hath done so in past,
And then what love be - but a burden you carry,
- Forcibly, yes.
All tales be false-trust me,
Stories told by a fantasizing mind,
What mattr'd ‘s trust
For love ain't true ‘cept that -for a mother's son,
- Or a God's own one,
Tis fellow sayeth truth,
Thee ask'd tis mouth- an alternative,
And thou was told this,
Be a friend, a companion,
Have parents and societie's blessings,
Test him thoroughly, but keep it
Free-unpossessive_unexpecting,
Name it care, not love,
Nameit friendship, not love,
Be it spiritual, emotional,
But not physical, unless need be
Nd him trusted.
Love not developed, hear my dear
Love not a state that be,
But a journey through thick and
Thin, sun and shade,
Friendship and enmity,
Open your heart, but
- Not close thy brain,
Do not be impulsive,
-nd yet not be afraid,
For journeys are to be enjoyed,
Not evaluated or thought of,
Destinations of destiny be reached,
Not feared,
Let urself be free,
And be a vessel of his will.
