Love - What Is The True Nature Of Love? Poem by Paul Warren

Love - What Is The True Nature Of Love?

Rating: 5.0

What is the true nature of love?
Is it two souls seeking each from above
As they meet in a thousand lifetimes
And explore each other again to each other kind

Or is it something that occurs just one time
To lean on each other once they are looking to find
A way through life and its trial together
And make them as light as a feather

So what happens when you find your soul mate
Is it a feeling that together you are great?
And your feelings are so strong
That you stay together all your life long

If these relationships do not last for a lifetime
Is that more an infatuation which is a physical kind?
True love must be a bold electric touch
So that you can't stand a parting from each other too much

A well written piece on a difficult but much thought and written about subject. I have a poem titled Love...? It is long but explores the same question. Thanks for sharing, Paul

I think the last 2 lines of your poem answer your question. There has to be something electric between the two, yet it is not chaotic or destructive. Nicely written poem, Paul. Two people in love are like a hand and a glove, When they fit perfectly, their love was meant to be Lora
