Love Through The Seasons Poem by Joseph Blitch

Love Through The Seasons

Lost deep within sleep, I began to dream,
You strolled ever so gently on the scene.
A change as Winter gives way to Spring,
Sweet fragrance of flowers, you did bring.

My mind raced as comet across the sky,
As your actions gave an answered reply.
Words are not communications measure,
Sometimes silence is the golden treasure.

Jewel of a woman, an angel from above,
You shared your heart, giving your love.
Loving so freely, from me never to turn,
My desire as the summer sun did burn.

Words cannot express what came to be,
How heavens door was opened to me.
Being grateful for your presence so near,
Yet, in mind, remained only ultimate fear.

While thinking, I would awake in sorrow,
You whispered, “I’ll still be here tomorrow,
And each future dawning day with pride,
Never a tear cry, I’ll remain at your side”.
